Even though Easter Seals runs the program, it's over seen by the State Department of Special Education. I would contact them right away! Which...of course...would be Wednesday! UGH! |

Well, unfortunately a CI is an elective surgery, and it's MAJOR surgery. You will have a difficult time in court fighting it. It's worth the fight, but be prepared.

There are only a few kids across the country with DS who have cochlear implants. You have to be prepared for EXTENSIVE training, as a child has to LEARN to use the implant, it doesn't just happen. But ... |
