Hi all! It has been quite a long time since I have been on here, I know Kath has been here a lot more often than I over the past few years. However, I have a question for you all since I greatly value your opinions, experience, and knowledge...
We are having Avery's IEP again tomorrow and there is an issue we have been having. She started with 4 aids during the day in Kindergarten, then we complained as there was no consistency with her getting to know one person, so they dropped it to 3 aids, then down to 2 aids. However, the issue is this, the first aid she was working with was fired before we could give Avery any "heads up" and prepare her for working with a new aid. Once the new aid was in place, we were all happy with her and got over not being notified of the other being let go. But low and behold, after a couple of months, the new aid was let go and we didn't know it! So this was two aids now gone and we were unable to let Avery know she would be having a new aid.
So now we will be having a mtg tomorrow to go over her IEP and I was wondering if there was something we can do to put something into the IEP to make sure this doesn't happen again. If the aid is to be let go, we should be notified so we can prepare Avery as they become very close. This, to us, is very damaging and we are trying to make sure we can not only prepare her for change, but also to prepare her for the loss of someone she cares about in her life.
Thank you for your help and I look forward to your replies.

I don't see any reason it can't at least be put in the parental concerns if not directly in the IEP. A will know more on this. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}
