Henry has been doing this since he turned 5. Wish we had discovered it earlier, and would love to know what site is similar for the next level.

Try it at www.starfall.com -- make sure you see what's under each button/option!

Funny I just saw this post today. I had tried Nate on this site in the past and he just was not interested. My older two have been on an off the site for the past 2 years. Well yesterday I sat Nate on my lap and the laptop on him and we turned on Starfall and he just blew me away. Nate hasn't been the performer and was never interested in flash cards or TV for that matter. Well the kid knew just about every letter and the sounds they make and was so interactive with the site. I did the pointer control and he clicked away. He was so verbal and repeating many of the words. Here I have always suspected verbal apraxia with Nate but I think he has finally reached the next level with it. YEAH! I do highly encourage others to take a peak at Starfall again...your child may be ready. You can move on to the phonics program then the readers.... I think Reader Rabbit would be a good followup to the program for olderkids...unfortunately it is not free. However you can try www.beestar.org for some reading and math stuff

I don't know why I have such difficulty at this site...it keeps freezing up on me and giving me technical errors....
