Maggie's 6 month reevaluation/IFSP is coming up. She has not begun any services yet, but they were recommending PT after she was cleared from heart surgery. I'd like to know what services your little ones received and what their goals are, so I have some ideas of what to ask for. I'd like Maggie to get as much early intervention as possible! Thank you so much for your help

I live in a county which is very generous with it's services. Their theory is that if you give services early you may not need as much in services once the child is school age. At 6 months Anna received speech, physical therapy and a special ed teacher each twice a week at our home. At 9 months we added OT to the mix also twice a week. All sessions were 45 minutes long.
As far as goals, I think they were things like rolling over, raising head, reaching for toys across the midline (if you picture a line drawn from the top of the head to the toes, they want to encourage the child to reach across the body), tracking with the eyes, etc. They should start with your baby's present level of development and then set the goals from there. Hope this helps.
