Does anyone know how adoption works if the parents are of different nationalities? I'm American and my husband is Canadian. We live in Asia, so neither of us has even a green card for the other country. There's a wonderful, snuggly, smiley little boy here we know who has DS and is now 10 months old. A friend of ours is fostering him, and I've just wondered if it would even be possible for us to try to adopt him?
Thanks,
Jan

My ex husband is American, I am British, we were living in Canada at the time and adopted a Cree Indian baby so it was possible and I expect it still is.
