Although I'm not from the UK, just thought I'd share this site with ya...it's a UK based supplier of Nutrivene-D & all things TNI - http://specialhealthstore.co.uk/.

Yes there are moms on the Einstein Syndrome listserv from the UK using TNI and Nutrivene. Join here http://einstein-syndrome.com/join/

I recommend individual messages on that list; the digest is kinda hard to view/use

The DSA were involved in a proper double blind research project on supplements in people with Down syndrome and I think the results were that it didn't make any difference.

I'll try and find the article for you, I did find this on the Downs Ed site http://www.down-syndrome.org/perspectives/144/

Here's the DSA position on TNI http://www.downs-syndrome.org.uk/about-us/where-we-stand/policy-statements/targeted-nutritional-therapy.html

It's completely your own decision of course.

we'll see.

I'm not going to wait 30 years for the major organizations to finally endorse this. We are seeing studies showing that certain cycles are disrupted in our kids. And other studies (unfortunately, mostly in mouse models of T21) showing that these cycles are CORRECTABLE, and cognition enhanced/brain cell loss slowed, etc.

So why don't you please go back to your corner and stop trying to convince US, HERE on the TNI BOARD not to do anything nutritional to correct these imbalances?

Was this directed at me? I'm sorry but one of the main principles of this board is "be nice", I just gave some information, I was not trying to convince the original poster, just offering another opinion. I did not say anything confrontational and specifically said that it was completely up to the original poster what she did.

I wholeheartedly apologize to you, Naomid, for the tone of my last post. It was just one of those days (sinus infection, feeling bad, no energy) that I did not handle annoyances well. I know that is no excuse, still.
I spent the whole weekend feeling bad about it.

Thank you for the apology and hope you're feeling better now.

Just to remind you that this forum is for the discussion of vitamins and nutritional supplements, that does not mean that everyone is pro supplements. I believe that it's better for people to get the pro's and con's before making their own choice. Smile
