I think it would be a good thing to take out an advertisement in the NDSC Convention Souvenir Journal. First, because it would show our support of NDSC. Second, because it would advertise this site. A full page ad costs $300.

I'm not good at designing these kinds of things but we want something that will catch the eye. If anyone is good at this kind of thing, please volunteer!

Here is my idea for how it could look. A frame all around featuring close up pictures of our kids, families, etc. They will end up being small so they should be close up head shots. Inside the frame will be whatever slogan we decide on along with some short quotes from parents about what the site has meant to them.

What do you think?

I will need volunteers to come up with the pictures and the pithy quotes. And if someone could volunteer to do all the work and create the ad then that would be a good thing too!

I will GLADY help Tom!!!! If you would like I could Be the "KEEPER" of the photos and the quotes! If people want to E-mail them to me that would be PERFECT and then I could compile them and have them ready for whoever would like to do the designing and creation.... One of the quotes I like is "Celebrating the Possibilities not the Disabilities".....just a thought though....-Courtney

So I guess Renee and Courtney are running with this!!!

Here is what the ad application says: Donor will provide final camera-ready artwork. Preferred: hi-res (300 dpi) black&white electronic artwork submitted as a Mac Quark, illustrator, tiff, jpeg, or pdf file.

By the way, the deadline for submission is May 26th.

I think this is a great idea. You can use the picture of John in my signature (it's still on of my favorites which is why I it's been up so long!). Let me know if I need to send it to you separately or what.
