I'll just come right out and ask....PLEASE pray Al doesn't lose his job today.

Things here in NY just stink. The state is just up to their eyeballs in dodo. Al is a sales rep for an road construction company. ( Suit-Kote Corp, any of you NY'ers heard of them? ) And with the state not having any money to give for road work, things are looking very bad. They have already let go 100 construction workers and today they have a meeting with all the salary workers in the office and lab settings, where as of Monday 50 more will be let go.

I've tried telling him that because he is a sales rep, that the company needs thier sales people out there selling any kind of work they can get, so I feel he's safe. He agrees with me, but is still very nervous. With a family of 8, we would have to let alot go.

Anyway, please say some prayers for us and for the other families who this will effect. Times are tuff, and just seem to be getting tuffer.

First day at school

Prayers that your husband gets a job quickly. My husband works in high tech, he was laid off too, but was fortunate to get a contracting job. It's really scary.

Al still has hs job, for now. They let go 50 people through out the 8 locations that they have. Most of them were in the labs. He's still worried, but counties are still buying black top and road work so that's always a plus. Thanks everyone for all your thoughts and prayers.
