I have to say, even though she is 14 and has that teen attitude 99.9% of the time, I love her to death.

She was in her room with Austin playing. I went in to get him and she had him laughing. She asked me "Why is Austin so awesome? I mean mom, Logan and Cody were never this cool as babies. I want to have a baby just like him. Will I have a baby like him?" I told her anything is possible. She then goes, "If I don't have a baby with down syndrome, can I adopt one? I really want to be a mom to a special baby too. You are so lucky mom."

Now I was just floored and didn't really know what t o say. Afraid if I spoke my voice would crack and I'd lose it in front of her. She then said, " if I can't do either, then I want to work with kids with special needs. I never realized that they are just like us in so many ways. I want to help them all." I just shock my head yes. She then went on to say, " I will make a difference someday mom. you wait and see."

Now I had to leave. I went into the bathroom and cried. I am so proud of her and I know now I am raising a great kid. ( I still wish she would clean her room with out a fight tho. Wink )
