Sorry I haven't visited for some time.
After summer 2014, when we sailed right around Britain together in an ancient fishing boat for the Tall Ships race, Jay became unwell - excessive thirst - and Mum thought his breath smelled funny, so we took him to the doctors and he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, which was obviously a big setback. Since then he has been very good with his self-injections twice a day, but there are definitely some negative side-effects: a mixture of behavioral and physical symptoms, such as sleeplessness, rudeness, and withdrawal. It has been a lot of worry and hard work.
