You know they are always saying that the only thing really linked to ds is the mother's age?, well, the only people I know that have given birth to a ds child have all been my age-around 25.
So I am curious how old everyone was when they gave birth to their ds child?

got 2nd scan on baby no2 this coming Monday, have to see wether they can notice anything with this one. All tests were fine with Saul and this one.

Wellll.....guess I"m the grandma. I was 41 when he was conceived and he was born 18 days after my 42cnd birthday. We have run this type of thread before.... the under 35's way outnumber the over 35's. THey say it's because more woman under 35 are having children and therefore because of sheer numbers...more children with Down Syndrome.

This thread is extremely interesting to me. I was ALWAYS told age was such a factor in having a child with ds....doesn't seem so far that that's really the case.

21 when I conceived...22 when she was born

My mom had 4 babies after age 35...one at 41 and none of them had DS...my MIL had a baby at 38 and she doesn't have DS....SO-for me to have the baby with DS is absolutely crazy to us!! Wink
