I know I'm WAY BEHIND in all of this, but I'm thinking I might like to attend the convention, if still possible. BUT...I'm assuming the hotel is sold out. Anyone staying anywhere else or know of any other options?

If by chance the Marriott Marquis is indeed sold out, there is a Hilton on one side and Hyatt on the other. You would only have to cross the street to get to the Marriott.

Well I just clicked the hotel reservations link and it says there are rooms available. Hmmmm....I thought I had read that someone was told they were sold out.

Maybe you lucked out and there were cancelations.
I am so excited that you are going. We are driving and heading your way....Are you close to Williamsburg, VA cause we have passes to Bush Gardens that we are going to use.

I thought you were going down 81? Directions from here take us down 81 too, but Williamsburg is in the other direction. We could go via Williamsburg though and meet you guys! Williamsburg is 140 miles from us....we are in Northern VA. What day are you going?

The person who said there were no rooms had tried to book a room through the regular Mariott website.
Yes, Atlanta is a long drive from Virginia... and it is even longer from NY!!!  |

Bethany, we decided to make some stops even if it was out of the way because there is no way we can do this all in one trip. Well, one of my friends works for Anheisuer Bush and gave us tickets so we thought we would stop in Williamsburg on the way there and DC on the way home too make it some what educational for Joey. We are not sure when we are leaving though. I think Wednesday.

Fun! Well let me know which day you are going to Busch Gardens. And...you know I live in the DC metro area, so if you need a place to stay on the way home, please stay with us. We are about 30 miles west of the city...sounds kind of far, but that is still the metro area.  |
