You are lucky to have twins. They will learn so much from one another. I have a small daycare and I have a 8month old non DS girl in my care and Anthony is trying to do all the things she is doing. He is now trying to make some of the sounds she makes and he is rolling more so that he can check her out more. She is a mover so he has some work to do but I think she motivates him a lot. DS children learn at diffrent rate just like normal children. I am sure your DS son is just taking it all in.

Talitha isn't saying anything yet but she is watching carefully when I try to get her to copy me.

Darah said her first recognizable word "Bye Bye" when she was 17 months old. Her first sign "All done" when she was 16 months old. She started babbling Dadadad and Mamama a lot sooner, and won't stop talking even now. She just started "talking" to where she you can tell she's saying something very important, and she knows what she's saying, but no one can translate. It's too funny...she'll just babble, "Madi ooh. Ba ba ee" or some other phrase. It's too funny!!
Way to go Ryan! I think he's doing fantastic, (or brilliant as you English like to say!)

Hi Josie
I just noticed from your post that you are from England UK
the word " chuffed " made me realise you are from our side of the pond, as I had to explain what that one means when I've used it before
where abouts in England do you come from?
Great progress for Ryan
Hannah sat up at 11mths
Are you doing Makaton sign language with Ryan?

Josie, I'd say Ryan is doing great.
With regards the signing, do you ever watch CBeebies? On there, there is a programme called 'Something Special' where they use signing. And if you go on the CBeebies website, you can download/watch a lot of the signs there too http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/somethingspecial/index.shtml
Here;s the link
Ryan's a bit young to sign yet, but it's good to let him see signs - his brother too - as kids learn by copying. And the chances are Liam will overtake with his speaking, at some stage, and signing will help Ryan to communicate before he's able to speak.
When you get a chance, post some pictures of your gorgeous little boys.
