I talked to Elisha last night and Elijah went in at 10 am for Open heart. She said they told her it would take between 7 and 8 hours...she will call and update me frequently...Eli is going to see her later and she will update me(or the site) too!!! But please pray hard for them...lots of us have been there and know how hard it is!!!!!PRAYER!!!-Courtney

Praying for them! I know how hard it is waiting. I will pray for steady hands for his doctors, wisdom for the doctors, Elijah's safety during surgery and to recover quickly, and for peace for Elisha and family to know that their precious angel will be ok.

I am heading there tonight after work. I thought about going on my lunch hour, but I really wouldn't have had much time this afternoon with them, due to the drive there and back.

I will probably get up there around 5:30-6:00. By this time, Elijah should be soon out of surgery.

Many prayers and hugs for the family and that little man.

I just received an email from Elijah's mom...Elijah went into surgery at 2pm. No word yet but mom is upbeat. We'll keep ya'll in our prayers.

They have completed the patches and they are closing him up right now. They said that he will be off of the bypass machine in about a half an hour. It shouldn't be long now! I am so happy! Very Happy

Well, I talked to Elisha earlier, and he was all done and waking up niceley. The surgery took much less time than was anticipated, and they also expected his hospital stay to be shorter!!! So all GREAT news!!! Eli went and saw her, she said they were doing great and it was good to see them adn she would try to get there again later!!!! ANyway, all is good, but continue to pray!!!-Courtney

Goodmorning everyone!

Elijah is doing so well! They are anticipating taking out his chest tube later this afternoon as well as the external pacemaker wires? He is definately more happy now that he has got to have his bottle (which he didnt get until after midnight!) He has been taking them with more power than I have ever seen! He is more happy with the NeoSure than he is with the Morphine! So that is good! I hope everyone is well...I know that I am!!!!!!!! I'll update again later on!

We're hoping to have his wires and tubes out very soon. The drs said that he is doing very well. I think that he is just happy that he finally got to have his bottle! He sucked it down so fast, and then he was ready for the next one! They've been feeding him about every hour cause he demands it! I'll keep everyone updated as soon as I hear anything.
