chloesclub

Hi. I am new to this forum, in fact I am new to any forum. My name is Dawn and I am the mother of two girls, Olivia (3 years) and Chloe (9 months). Chloe has Down syndrome. I am a member of a local chapter of the International Mom's Club, but none of its members have a child with Down syndrome or any other disability. I have met wonderful mothers in the group. Although many have become cherished friends, they just cannot offer me what I need when it comes to dealing with the unique challenges and fears Chloe adds to my life. I am hoping this forum will and look forward to chatting with some of you. Please bear with me as I learn how to operate in a forum. Eventually I will figure out how to add a picture. I have LOVED seeing all the amazingly cute pictures you all have posted everywhere![/img]

Oh, welcome, welcome!!! You will catch on to all this in no time! I had never spent time on a forum either, before this one. You will love it here and you will get all the advice and support you want and then some! Wink

We have family in Littleton and in fact were there in May and met up with another family that is members here on Down Syn - Carmen and Jaemen - her screen name is cymorales and they are in the Denver area. Down syn has been such a great support site for me and I think you will like it here. I look forward to hearing more about your family.

Welcome to the site! I'm sure will love it here! My daughter, Payton, is 7 months old, so we aren't that far apart on the DS road, so to speak! Can't wait to hear more about you!

PICTURES: When you are in photobucket, copy the "IMG" code and just insert there under your signature box in your profile. That is all you need to do and then the pictures will appear once you post.

WELCOME ! I have an OLivia as well, she will be 6 in September! My son Daniel was born with Down syndrome and he is 21 mo. My older girls are 12 and 14.

I love this forum and it really helped me tremendously the first year and every day since.

Welcome to the site. I am also new, I actually only found this yesterday and thank god I did. I actually already feel like I am in the right place and fit in. I gave birth to Max seven months a go. I did not know he had DS prior and it was a complete shock at first. It took us two weeks to find out the results but soon after that things were fine and now seven months later I would not change anything about Max for the world. I am only 23 years old, I hear often that this is pretty young, but I now know that I needed Max in my life. We are planning on having more children but unsure where to go with testing or even if we want to get the testing. I hope that you feel as welcomed here as I do, this is a great site.

To fix your pics just put [img] at the beginning of that http address and [/img] at the end. Do that for each one and they should pop up. Very Happy

Hello and Welcome!

I too came to this site when my daughter was nine months (she's now 16 months old). We were part of my sons playgroup filled with a lot of lovely woman & 1 man that could not offer me what downsyn has. This wonderful site has brought me so much peace, knowledge, understanding, love and companionship. The place that this site and the people in it has in my life and heart is very unique and cherished. I've been away from it for several months (moving) and hope to be able to come again more regularly really soon.

If you have any questions, concerns, brags, prayers.. anything feel free to post away! WARNING... downsyn.com is very addicting!
