i decided to teach elias some signs, just to see how it goes, bc here in mexico they dont teach to sign... so i went to a site and see some common signs for babies.. so i started with MORE like 2 weeks ago, and he as learn it perfectly. tho, its the only until now.

"Finished" is another easy one to learn as is "EAT" and "Milk"

Have fun communicating with your sweet boy. I think signing is just so great!! It's helped us a lot. Now I only wish we could UNLEARN "Movie" because that's all Darah signs these days!! Wink

That is really cool!! My DH and I went to a Makaton course last Friday and we are now teaching our other kids signs. Our plan is to integrate sign into our day to day communication so that by the time Talitha has the dexterity to sign, she will just do it without special coaching. Harder to do in reality but we are trying.

Great Job, and remember, it may only be 1 sign now but he will continue to pick them up, and quickly I bet. It is so wonderful when our babies can start communicating with us! How exciting!
