Hello everyone - We're knew here. My name is Marshana and my husband is Alan we have a 10.5 year old Carson and a 10.5 month old Walker (DS)

We found out Walker had DS by amnio and lucky were able to deliver at a neighboring hospital that was able to deal with his needs. I was induced due to percardial effusion and intrauterine growth restriction and delivered by emergency C-section on October 8 2005 (Yes my baby will soon be 1 year old) He was 5 lbs 3 oz and 18 inches long.

His issues included FTT, alpha-1-antitrypcin def. (liver disease), oral aversion we currently have a NG tube but will be getting a Gtube on Sept 11 (use to take some orally- then took nothing orally-now takes some amounts of food 1oz or less and NO Liquids) we dealt with motility issues with neg Hirschsprungs and respiratory problems. But considering some of the issues we could of had we feel VERY LUCKY!

Walker today is VERY VERY VERY spoiled. He has PT once a week and OT for feeding issues twice a week.

All in all we are very lucky that we were blessed with Walker

I was so excited to see your post - I have a Walker too! I have only met two others and one man was in his 80's.

Hi and Welcome!! Talitha is fed by ng tube as well and we are going through oral aversion issues at the moment. I am fighting with my ped about getting a g-tube as they are not used much in Australia. Talitha had AVSD heart defect and IGR as well so was delivered at 36 weeks by emergency c-section.

I am looking forward to seeing pics of Carson and Walker and hearing more from you.
