What is your favorite way to relax? What is that? Probably sit on the couch and do nothing. But, I really love to have a good pedicure on my man feet.
What is your favorite animal and why? I am really not an animal person in so many ways, but I love puppies and I love my dog, of course.
What make you happy? Knowing that Ethan successfully finished his leukemia treatment. Also, knowing that my friends and family are loved and happy. |

first off, how was your trip this weekend???? Well, I am still here and I will post a longer version tomorrow probably when I get home, but last night was a LOT of fun. I have some crazy pictures that I can share later.
was it hard to move from CA to NC? Yes and no. It was extremely painful to leave everything that I had ever known- hard to leave my friends and family who I love so much. But, easy because it is what was best for Ethan.
how long have you been married? 8 years 10/17
how did you and your hubby meet? In college, he had a crush on my friend but she had a boyfriend. I'm the sloppy seconds!
do you work or stay at home? Sadly, I work. But we have been playing the powerball lottery every week waiting for that big win! We're up $7 so far! We are on our way!
if you work, what do you do? I work for a credit union. I have been working in the financial industry for over 10 years now. I would love to quit. I would love to be home. I would love to have another baby....
i'll think of more later... |

Where did you go to college? What was your major? What do you do at the credit union?
Do you have names picked out for Ethan's brother or sister?
Do you have anything planned for your 8 year anniversary?
What is your favorite show on TV?
I'll be back!

Stephanie wrote: | Did you have big hair in the 80's? No, not really. I french braided my hair a lot or kept it in a ponytail. I never really had bangs either because of my monstrous cowlick (Ethan inherited that booger from me!).
Where did you go to college? I went to a local junior college and then dropped out. I had so much on my plate, it just wasn't working and I did not have the support of my parents. It is a decision that I wish I had made differently. So now I go to school online with Univ. of Phoenix. It's been working so far.
What was your major? At the JC, I was simply doing general ed until I could figure out what I wanted to do. Now, I am in the business administration program.
What do you do at the credit union? Pretty much everything except loans. I am in Member Service- fixing all of the problems, handling the IRA accounts, whipping people into shape with their checking (teaching them how to balance their checkbook). I was the branch manager for a major CU in California for 7 years before staying home with Ethan for a year and then moving to NC.
Do you have names picked out for Ethan's brother or sister?
I don't because I don't know if it will ever happen. Scott is really not ready. I am, and I get more ready every day. I think that it would be good for us to have another focus in addition to Ethan and for Ethan to be a big brother. I cry thinking about it- I truly can't wait. AND, Ethan had now been signing "baby", so there's hope!
Do you have anything planned for your 8 year anniversary? Nope. We will probably go to dinner. It would be nice to go away, but not this year.
What is your favorite show on TV? On TV- is and always will be Friends even if in syndication. Current shows are Grey's Anatomy (still have to watch my DVR of last week's premier!), Desperate Housewives and Scrubs. I also really enjoy My Name is Earl. OH, and of my reality junk fix- Project Runway.

favorite drink? Alcoholic: Smirnoff Grape Non-alcoholic: Aquafina Grape water
favorite book? I don't read very much- I am reading my sister's book now before it is published in December (you all must buy it! ). One book that I have read numerous times is Go Ask Alice. I just find it heartbreaking and raw. I prefer biographies of people of interest than fiction.
favorite movie? This is tough. The Princess Bride probably ranks at the top. I want my own farm boy! I do love Pirates of the Caribbean though. Captain Jack is on my list!
favorite food? I don't know! I am an extremely picky eater, but I love the stuff I shouldn't like pasta and bread. I love cereal. I could eat cereal all the time.
what were you like in high school? Um, pretty outgoing- friends with mostly everyone in my class and a few others. I was always the best friend to the guys, so I never really had boyfriends and the one's that were interested I pushed away. I knew my mom wouldn't let me date, so I just put an end to it before I got into trouble. I never went to Prom and only went to a couple of dances. My mom would tell you that I had lots of attitude because I talked back. I prefer to think of it as stating my opinion- LOL!
do you have any tattoos? Yes, I hate it. I would like it to be removed. I looked into having it covered up with something else, but the artist said that I would have to do something really dark and much bigger. So, 18 year old stupidity remains right above my ankle. (I know, I am very casper like in color)
morning person or night owl? I am so NOT a morning person. I will stay up later than I should on most nights and then pay for it the next day! |

What is your favorite fast food?
Who is your favorite solo singer?
If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be and why?
What year did you graduate from high school?
Did you buy the book I told you about? You so have to. I promise, you will love it.
Okay and last but not least, will you share one of Ethan's kisses with me? I will never forget the way he gives you kisses the rest of my life. It is absolutely so precious. It is burned in my brain. (Really it is. )

Who is your favorite solo singer? Solo singer? Wow, that is a tough question! I do love Jon Bon Jovi whether he is singing solo or with Bon Jovi.
If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be and why? I don't know. I love who I am. I mean I wish that I was thinner- blah, blah, blah- but, I think that I have a good head on my shoulders. I would like to be more comfortable financially. All of Ethan's hospital bills has stripped us of any comfort. But, it was all for him, so it's ok.

No, I haven't BUT- I did keep the paper you wrote it down on. I came very close to accidentally throwing it out, but I still have it! I will get it, promise!

You are so cute! Of course I will share!

Tigger wrote: | What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a bus driver when I was little. Then I wanted to be a physical therapist. Oh, how I wish I had stuck with that one.
Where in the world would you like to visit and why?
I would love to visit many different parts of Europe. My cousin just spent over two months touring Europe and I wanted to go! Spain, France, Ireland, Scotland, England, Switzerland, Italy, Holland, Greece...
Describe your ideal house.
This is funny because Scott and I talk about this a lot. My ideal house would be around 2500 square feet with a basement. Nice open floor plan with a bar counter top in the kitchen. Granite countertops and a DEEP sink. Gas range top and double-oven (why? Don't know b/c I really don't cook that much!) I would have hard wood in many parts of the house, but I still love nice plush carpet too. I would have 4 bedrooms and an office. I would either have a lot large enough to build Ethan his own little house or I would have an apartment for him over the garage. Yes, he's never allowed to leave me!
What is the wildest thing you have ever done?
Wildest? Does being involved with a married man count? I was 18, he was 26. He sold me my first car. I told him he had nice eyes and he commented, "Thank you, my wife doesn't even tell me that". I was quite embarrassed- I was not trying to hit on him or anything, I just really thought he had great eyes. Well, after becoming friends, things just went where I never thought it would and it never should have. But, I was 18 and caught up in the emotion of it all. The good news is that he is still married and has a beautiful little girl. We are still friends.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
Well, the situation above was embarrassing, but I really do not embarrass easily.
Describe one of the best days in your life.
My wedding day was beautiful. I wish I had more outdoor pictures though. It was a gorgeous day, but hot. But, the absolute best day was the day Ethan was born. The love that floods your soul is amazing. | [/b]

Are you getting to enjoy life after chemo? Not yet really since Ethan went through a lot of vomiting afterwards, but we are getting there! Thanks!
How did you handle Ethan's treatment and work too? You can add school to that. HAHA! Good question. Some days I didn't. Some days I cried like the world was ending. But, most days I just kept laughing and smiling. I found that if I stayed focused instead of wallowing in pity, I was able to deal with it all much better.
Do you want any more children? Bold yes, yes, and another yes! When or if I am blessed with another child, only God knows.
Can I come visit, I miss that area? ABSOLUTELY!!! I don't get visitors often.
Do you think you will end up going back to CA? No. I was just there over the weekend. And, unless some major changes happen in CA, we will only visit.

I was trying to find the original e-mail that I sent out, but I can't find it so here we go...We had just moved from CA to NC and Ethan was catching a cold when we got here. Long story short- after 4 months of runny noses, sinus infections, ear infections, and upper respiratory infections back to back as soon as the antibiotic was gone, not eating or sleeping I took him to the doctor AGAIN (previous reasons included: change of environment, cold/flu season, new daycare with new germs) and demanded a test be done. A blood test was ran and all of his counts were low. As soon as I was told that, I knew. They ran the test again to be sure it wasn't lab error, but it was right and we were on our way to the children's hospital for a bone marrow aspiration. A day that will forever be imbedded in my head. And for all of you superstitious people out there, it was Friday the 13th.
How did Ethan get so stinkin' cute? My husband is pretty cute himself, I guess that's where.
When are we going to get together and let Robbin buy drinks again?!!! Amen sister! I talked to her a week or so ago and I am really going to try and go to Kelly's Upside Down Ball. It sounds like so much fun! Please go! |
