We have been working on cruising with Eliza now for months. When she is standing she is very stiff kneed and it's like her feet are glued to the floor. Her PT told be before that she wouldn't walk forward until she got side to side first...
Well let me set up the scene today. It's a gorgeous day here in San Francisco. 80's, sunny, light breeze. We decided to meet Janet in the city for lunch at a beach right on the bay. On your left the Golden Gate Bridge. On your right Alcatraz. In between sailboats, a cruise ships, a couple of fighter jets in the sky(we were wondering about that) tons of dogs and children running around on the beach. A picture perfect day. Walker was playing around in the surf and Eliza was crawling towards the waves. Janet rolled up her pants and thought that she would just hold Eliza while the wave washed her feet. Next thing we know Eliza is walking forward (with Janet supporting under her arms) - knees bent, one foot in front of the other laughing away. And quickly too, like she has been doing it for weeks! Little bugger, now it's time for the push toy to come out I think.

Yeah Big girl - Way to go. Sounds like you're going to have a beach baby on your hands Mom.

That is so cool. Sounds like a scene from a movie.

Yeah Eliza. Matt didn't do it the right way either - he walked holding my hands months before he worked out cruising. But I think it's far more sensible - who wants to go sideways, when you can go forewards!!!
