HI ALL!!

I'M THE MOTHER OF RILEIGH JANE, THE SWEETEST LITTLE THING I KNOW. I HAVE BEEN LURKING FOR A FEW DAYS.
THIS FORUM IS VERY INFORMATIVE FOR ME. I LIKE TO HAVE AS MUCH INFO AS POSSIBLE THAT MAY PERTAIN TO MY LITTLE SNUGGLE.
I AM IN NEED OF SOME ' LONG DISTANCE' SUPPORT. I AM STILL PRETTY EMOTIONAL ABOUT RILEIGH'S DS.
I AM ENJOYING GETTING TO KNOW ALL OF YOU THROUGH YOUR POSTINGS, I'M VERY EXCITED TO BE A PART OF THIS GROUP.

Welcome! Rileigh is beautiful, and the love the way you spelled her name...I've never seen it spelled that way before. I'm Barbie, and my 11.5 month old Emeline is responsible for me finding myself here. Downsyn has been a God-send. I know what you mean about needing "Long Distance Support." Sometimes the "up close and personal" support is still overwhelming to my husband and me, too....but we're getting there! I have found so much helpful advice, and the wisdom of many experienced DS parent/veterans on this site. It makes ALL the difference. I don't know where I would be today, had I not found it!
I look forward to hearing (and seeing!) Wink

Hi and welcome!! iam amy and i am the mommy to jayden 12, rylee jo 8 and mayson who is only 4 days older than your Rileigh!!! Its great to have another baby on board!! we didnt know about maysons DS until right after she was born but we didnt focus on the DS. instead we just focused on HER. she is a true blessing!
your baby is a doll. cant wait to get to know you better!

Hello! She's a cutie!! I am new here too and I am so grateful to have been lead here. I am maneuvering around a bit more and am finding some great stuff. We are just to the point of really embracing Nicholas having DS. It takes time. His being on this earth and touching so many people have amazed us. These kids are a true blessing. We are going on our first Buddy Walk this weekend. It's exciting and overwhelming at the same time since we haven't had much other exposure either....but I'm getting more excited after seeing how wonderful the people here are.
