I just got this from my local DS group. Sounds interesting, thought I'd pass it along:

Dear DSALA Families and Friends<

I was contacted today by Barbara Barna a casting director looking for families for a new reality TV show. The show will feature families who work together with another family to meet each others' needs. Barbara specifically wanted to let our families know about this opportunity. You are welcome to share this information with anyone you think might be interested:

New TV Show Looking to Help People Through Barter

This is not just a trade it’s people helping people.
This is not just a TV show it’s a movement.

A new tv show is looking to match people at a crossroads in life who can swap their skills and talents to help each other.

For example:

--A florist's kitchen burns down. She can't afford a new kitchen. A carpenter’s daughter is getting married but the carpenter can't afford the wedding of his daughter’s dreams. The carpenter helps out the florist and the florist helps out the carpenter.

--A single mom with bookkeeping skills is trying to get back on her feet but has a broken-down car and can't get to job interviews. An auto mechanic is trying to build his business. He's great at fixing cars but can't keep the books. Mechanic gets Mom's car running like new and Mom organizes Mechanic's books so his business can survive and thrive.

Looking for real human stories with depth and emotion where the swap will genuinely make a difference in these people’s lives.

Please feel free to forward on to friends, co-workers, church and community groups.

Anyone interested in learning more about the project can e-mail me at [email protected].

All should include a daytime phone number and a detailed description of what they need, why they need it and what they can offer in return.

249 Smith Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 (718)855-9522 email: [email protected]

End
