I wanted to get a picture, but did not think of it at the time. I allowed Justin to walk out to his bus by himself. More shock for myself than him. I have a short driveway. I always walk him all the way out and kiss and hug him before he steps up. Nice way to get to speak to the driver. I told her last week that I wanted to try him with this. So this morning off he went and then stopped... looked back for me... like "Come on, mom. What are you doing? You have to walk me to the bus." I told him that he was a big boy and it is ok to go ahead to the bus. Off he went. Got to the door, turned around, waved bye and on the bus he went. I was so proud of him. I will have to get a picture tomorrow if I can remember.
Oh, typically I walk out toward the bus in the afternoon. He does not let me get too close anymore... why?? Because he rushes to the front of the bus, grabs his backpack, and runs to me every day. Like he hasn't seen me in weeks. Did I tell you this story already? LOL I can't remember...lol
One more brag...
He just loves school. Every night he asks me "School tomorrow, mom?" And I reply with "Yes, punkin, you have school tomorrow." He does a huge happy dance!!! On the weekend, when he asks and I have to tell him, "No school tomorrow or Sunday" he cries. He just loves school so much that he does not want a day off. Even given the choice of Mammy's house, which is his favorite place or it used to be...lol... he chooses school. I just have to get this teacher the best gift ever for Christmas.
I am so very proud of Justin. And his teacher.

Way to go Justin!!! I bet your heart just swelled as you watched him walk down to the bus by himself! Probably felt like one of those milestones, like kindergarten. That is great!! It's also great to hear how much he likes school. That's one of the things I always worry about. Thanks for sharing Justin's postive experience!
