i need some advice,my friend and her husband would like to start fostering,but would like to foster a child/children with downs syndrome.Is there anywhere they can get in touch with. If anyone knows i would be greatful for any information.thankyou.

A social worker I work with, advised they should contact their Local Authority Departments, or Private fostering Agency's.
They will need to under go quite intrusive assessments which take about 6 months. If they have the foster/adoption assessment done together they may get a child placed quicker.
If they have any specific questions, I will ask him if he has any advice.
I googled 'fostering' and clicked on UK pages it took me to loads of info re fostering and the process in the UK.
