Hannah has started to bite. First it was only me when I would carry her she would bite my shoulder and not let go. IT HURTS!! Now she bites my husband and today bit a little boy on the finger in her class. The teachers couldn't believe "sweet little Hannah" would bite. I don't want her to be known as the "class biter."
I'm getting "jumpy" holding her as out of fear she's going to bite. I'm worried she's going to bite someone else again.
I've tried saying NO and she just laughs at me. Any suggestions on what to do!!!!!!

Eliza bites us on the shoulder and we are working on nipping it in the bud, at first we would just say no and she would smile at us. Then we tried saying NO BITING really loudly to her face (that worked for my son during this phase) and she starts crying so much she hyperventilates. Our home teacher suggested the approach of if she bites we say "No biting" and then put her down immediately, not look at her and give her no attention for a few minutes. We just started that approach and I don't know if it's working but she hasn't bitten in a couple days.
