I just resigned

Ok, I just sent off my resignation. It was easier to do than I thought it would be but I still feel really strange. I worked so hard to get where I was. Driving suburban buses is a shift based job and I finally got to where I could choose my own shift and now I am quitting. Of course I haven't actually worked since I found out I was pregnant with Talitha so I have been on leave without pay (except for my maternity payout) for approximately 18 months.

I really miss the job too. It was the best job I have ever had Crying or Very sad
I actually feel kind of guilty but I would feel a lot worse if I had to leave Talitha and go to work. I couldn't do it.

*sigh* I am not good with mixed emotions.....

Brave decision! Even though you've got that big mix of emotions, it won't be forever - unless you choose it to be!!!
I admire anyone who can be a SAHM - hope you enjoy itl.

Karyn, just keep this thought in your head

Now that you've made the decision to quit and acted on it, you'll soon resolve those mixed feelings Smile

I'm so proud of you, I'm sure it was a tough decision, but I'm sure thalita is going to benefit from it, I wish I could find the courage and do the same, maybe you will inspire me.

Karyn - hugs to you for making a tough decision. I think that is party of being a mom - mixed emotions and making decisions to benefit our kids.

I completely know how you feel! I really miss my work too since I quite in June. I even find that I dream about my old job too. Now I am home with a small daycare. Don't get me wrong I love to be home with Anthony but their is still a part of me that would love to be back to work. Then on the flip side I think it is best that I am home for all three boys so what can a mom do? I just figure when Anthony goes off to 1st grade I will find a different job perhaps with the schools. Here in MN we have support groups for stay at home moms sometimes that helps. Is there any in your area?
