Curious - Week 3 - The Journey Begins

In this week's selection, Christopher starts a trip to London on his own. Which part of the trip did you find most exciting? Did you find yourself rooting for Christopher to get away or be found by his father?

I found it all exciting! Again, I was thinking about what it means to be different in the world, and I was fascinated by the logistics and particulars. And I was/am/will always root for Christopher. I really wanted him to be successful!

I was amazed the Christopher kept finding the source of courage within himself to keep plugging, keep his mind clear, keep focused. I think the author did a remarkable job of expressing what a monumental task this would be for a person with autism. His body is literally fighting him, but his resolve is so firm, that he must complete his task. Even the time he gave into his need to hide in a small space ended up keeping him from getting found.

I felt bad for his dad, but was so caught up in Christopher's journey, that even though I thought he should be with his dad, I wanted him to succeed.

I loved this part of the book! I was just amazed at how Christopher was able to overcome his disability and keep on going.
