I know your working on a lot of "stuff" for the site and I feel kinda greedy asking this..... but was wondering if you will or have yet considered the possiblity of setting up a way for scanning and posting pics on the site of our children and such?
I just thought/think it would be neat to be able to put faces with the names!

That's a great idea.

We can do this a couple of ways:

1) If you have a picture on the internet, give me the URL and I will copy it to my server and post it.

2) If you have a scanned picture, e-mail it to me at [url]mailto:pictures@downsyn.com[/url]

3) If you have a picture and would like me to scan it, send it to:

DownSyn.com
32 Virginia Ave
Plainview NY 11803

(If you wish the pictures returned, please include a SASE. For our foreign friends just include the envelope and we will take care of the postage.)

Make sure to include:
Your name (your forum handle will be fine)
the child's name
the age of the child at the time the picture was taken
your city and state (or foreign country info).

For pictures, we have found that wallet size pictures scan best. All of the pictures of Mikey on this site are from wallet size.

I think this will be a lot of fun and I think new and expecting parents will enjoy seeing pictures of our wonderful children.

Tom, I'm still a little unfamiliar with vb codes, but am very familiar w/html. If I have my pics already uploaded to a server, am I able to post them here in w/my msg??

Yes you can.

vB codes are actually easy to use, much easier that HTML. Try this URL: http://www.downsyn.com/forum/index.php?action=bbcode for information on using vB codes. Image tags are turned on in this forum.

Ok! Trying it out here, and here's my idea....what about a forum for just testing out signatures, etc? And, I didn't see where we could change colors or fonts as I've seen on other sites, is that a no go here?

Remember, as a registered user you can edit your posts so if you don't like the way your signature came out you can change it.

BTW, what a great picture!
