Tomorrow morning Cameron will have his second ABR done. His first was done about a year ago and his left ear showed perfect hearing but the right ear had slight hearing loss. This could have been due to the size of his ear canal or fluid inside his ear. They want to check again to see if there has been any changes now that he is older. I am sure everything is ok, I just hate that they sedate him for this test.

Things did not go as well as I hoped yesterday. The audioligist said that he has moderate conductive hearing loss in both ears. This could be due to fluid being in the ear, or that the narrowing of his ear canal is not opening as he is growing. She will be faxing over the report to the ENT and the surgeon. She mentioned that they will probably do an MRI and Ct scan to determine the next steps.
Possible tubes/hearing aid or surgery to correct.

I'm sorry you didn't get the news you wanted from the test. If it is just a fluid problem there is a good chance that the tubes will help correct that and hopefully nothing more serious would have to be done. Good Luck.

sorry to hear the news Cameron got but we will keep praying that the tubes or whatever they see fit to do will help him with the fluid and his hearing.
