Austin was taken by ambulance to our new Upsate Childrens hospital 35 miles from us Friday night with a bowel obstruction. He was able to pass it on his own because we caught it early enough. Thank goodness he didn't need surgery. Right now they are trying different meds to see what will work the best for him. They put him on Miralax and enemas once a day now. Could you add him to your prayers? Seeing him that sick scared me hald to death. Thanks in advance. Oh and we should be heading home tomorrow.

Poor little guy! Good thing you caught it in time. Hopefully you'll be home soon with a good game plan to prevent this happening again in the future.

Poor boy! Glad you could get on top of it, before it got really bad. That's probably why you said last week that he was

I'll be watching to see what meds you're taking, since Kallen also had Hirsprungs and I realised after reading all the constipation and poop threads here, that Kallen often has problems with constipation and I should take it more serious that I currently do

Adding our prayers... Isaac also has Hirschsprung's... having this happen and not catching it early enough is one of my biggest fears.

Poor darling boy. And how scary for you!
We don’t have a hospital here in town, our Pead has said here in Australia that they use Movicol in hospital. Same meds Aden takes daily. She has said when he is blocked up to give him two then increase each day, we can give up to 6 doses as this is what they would do in hospital.
We’ve had to give two in a day for two days and it’s worked. Wonder if the Mirlax could be used the same way?
We take note if Aden misses one day of poo’s because it usually means constipation.
Our poor kids I hate constipation.
hope he's feeling better soon.
