I got this idea because I am newly addicted to blog giveaways, so of course I want to see what giveaways you guys have and support those! Same for fundraisers, I'd love to support more. I also am hosting some cool special needs related giveaways and would love to share. A blog section be a great place for us to post these types of things without feeling like we're spamming each other.
It would also be nice to share tips, ideas, maybe work out some guest blog writing, and to learn from each other.
What do you guys think? Do we need to ask Tom for a blog section somewhere on this forum?

I like that idea! It's fun to see what people are doing, and I love supporting fundraisers. It's a great idea to move it to a separate section so it doesn't seem spammy.

I think it would be great! I'd love to have a place to ask technical questions of more experienced bloggers, too!

There is a blog section over on the general forum. It's stickied at the top. Ok, I guess it's really a blog thread, not a section. That said, I just have everyone's blog on reader, so I see every post they make, contests and giveaways, etc. (but I refuse to disclose how many blogs are on my reader!!!! LOL)

But is that really the spot to ask each other questions, to update with giveaways, or share fundraisers? Have we outgrown a sticky?

I agree with Anara. I think having a separate section goes beyond just letting members know we have one. Many of us who blog do so very seriously, and it's almost like a community within the community. I like the idea of being able to share blogging tips and technical expertise, as well as actual blog content.

If Tom doesn't find this post, I'll email him. I've exchanged private messages with members where we've shared blogging tips and we might as well go public!

It appears to me that two separate things are being requested. One section for fundraisers/giveaways, another section for blogger info/tips/etc.
On one front, here's a link that some of you may find to be helpful:

I'm kind of hoping that if Tom creates a section, it will be a full section, like general or questions, then divided further for giveaways and fundraisers, general tips, maybe WordPress and Blogger related questions.
We just need Tom's input!
Thanks for the link, Emdad!
