Ok I thought it was a fact that cats hate water. Any of the cats I have ever had hated it. Well not the one we have now. She LOVES water. When I get in the shower, (or anyone ) she will/has to be in there with you. She just sits there and the water doesn't even bother her. Just the other day I was heading to the area where her food and water is, and she was standing in her water dish. She almost looked like she was soaking her paws to get ready to get her nails done. I have even caught her in the toilet. The there anything I can do to keep her away from water? Showering with the kids is one thing, but our family cat?...that's just weird.

My cat loves to sit on the edge of the bath or just outside the shower but he doesn't like getting too wet. He doesn't seem to mind a bit of water but whenever he has been in the shower when I turn it on he decides it is just a bit too much water.

Your cat is definitely special!!!

I bathed my last cat regulary because I was allergic to her and I had a dog that liked to wash her so she would smell like dog drool. She didn't like it but tolerated it. She wanted to be everywhere the dogs were, and would pace alongside the pool if they were swimming and act like she was going to jump in but never did it. She would also go in my shower and no lie - squat over the drain hole and pee! She stopped it as mysteriously as she started it.
