Any recommendations for a good music dvd? Ben has Pop goes the wiggles and sing a song wiggles and he loves them. Is there anymore like these? Even by any other people/characters.

Barney DVD's were always a HUGE hit in our house! Also Georgia really loved Dan Zanes music, you can get his DVD's on Amazon!

Ben's not interested in full shows yet, he just like the music bits. Can you get a Barney dvd with just songs on it? I got him the Tweenies song time collection so I'm gonna test it out later. Very Happy

You can get Barney song only DVD's, there's either a nursery rhyme one or DVD's with Barney singing and dancing! (Barney dvd's seemed very addictive, he was always the dvd of choice with Georgia..........drove me nuts though Laughing Laughing )

Also Mr Tumble from Something Special (cbeebies) has song/nursery rhyme DVD's, Ethan's just taken an interest in Mr Tumble!

I never thought about Mr Tumble! And he could learn signs as he watches! Sounds like a perfect dvd. I'll have to search online for that one! Thanks. Very Happy

Austin loves the song, "I got a feeling" by Black Eyed Peas...lol. He rocks out to it every time he hears it.

Sorry I have no ideas. I just have never got any kids music cd's. Confused

Christine- Austin and Ben are so alike! He loves that song too.

When I was going through our really bad patch of feeding Ben his bottle the only thing that helped to settle him was Lady Gaga Bad romance. It was played at least 6 times during every feed (4 feeds a day!) I knew every part of the video! Laughing

Awww.

Austin always scream through his enema. I downloaded the song to my cell and let him hold my phone during enema time with the song playing and he doesn't scream. The things we do just to get them to do what we want. Very Happy

Matt has 18 (YES 18!!!!) Wiggles DVDs and he used to absolutely love them. He also loved Barney with all the songs and bright colours. And the Makaton Nursery Rhymes DVD by Dave Benson Philips is great. You can get them all of Amazon. Also, the Something Special things are really good, but very expensive - no idea why, but pretty annoying. Or if you have a video player, you can get old videos of Fun Song Factory on Ebay. And they're great. Hope something of that is helpful!

18?? I didn't realise there were so many! Laughing
Great idea about the videos but we don't have a video player anymore. We just got rid of it a few months ago.

That case, if you havne't got a video, put out a plea to your friends, or people nearby that you know on FB! We did it when our video player died as Matt would only watch Fun Song Factory at that point, and in the space of a day, we were given 3 video players!!! FSF is really, really good, if a bit dated.

My husband doesn't like playing any of the kids music at home or in the car, they get treated to Nickleback and Metallica instead Laughing Laughing Georgia sings along to rockstar whilst Ethan is bopping in his car seat!

My boys love the Laurie Berkner Band; lots of movement and catchy tunes. She has a couple of DVDs I think and some CDs. All on Amazon or Ebay.

I'm sure this will make a lot of you cringe. LOL! I buy a lot of the $5.00 CD's from Wal Mart for Melissa. The ones with the nursery songs and a lot of kids songs. Melissa LOVES them. The rest of us... Oh well, at least Melly is happy. LOL!

I gave her an inexpensive CD player. She carries it around the house with her so she can play her Gukick! (music) She even takes it to bed with her. It's very cute.

Dan Zanes is great and he donated signed CDs last year for the Romp for Research so he is tops in my book! Plus his music is something the kids love and you as an adult can tolerate.

I second Laurie Berkner, although her songs have a tendency to get stuck in your head!!!

Janet,

Don't ALL kids music/songs get stuck in one's head???? LOL! The girls who come over to help me out with Melly during the day ALWAYS go home with songs stuck in their heads. LOL!

Cassie used to love her Veggie Tales, and she listened to Rock N Learn (which taught subjects really well). We all still like the Wow Wow Wubbzy CD - it has songs like 'Focus' and 'Don't Give Up' so there are some positive messages too. Spongebob, Strawberry Shortcake and Disney songs were always favorites. Though now she really likes her Kidz Bop CDs.
