I just wanted to give some good news! ...... I got the all clear on my mammogram last week!
I was terrified to get the results but in the end it was fine.
My sister had her second round of Chemo last Friday.
She is feeling poorly at the moment and is resting all the time.
The fatigue lasted a week the last time and she was able to go to work for two weeks.
She's hoping it will be the same this time. She only needs to work till the end of May as she is a school teacher and she is off for three months summer vacation.
By that stage she'll be finished the first 6 chemo sessions and will be getting ready for the surgery.
She still has her hair (kindof) but it looks very dead and is starting to fall out.
A long journey ahead of her....and I'm very please to say she is coping with the help of family and friends. Thank God for their kindness.
I'll keep you posted on her progress......Her last chemo session is 25th May 2011!

What a relief for the all-clear, Linda. It must be so hard for you to watch your sister going through all of this. You both continue to be in our prayers.

Thats excellent news about your results and praying that all goes well for your sister. A friend has just finished a very intensive course of chemo for a very aggressive form of breast cancer, she is only 35. She has had chemo for 6 months and has to have radiation therapy now for a long time as a preventative measure. The good news is she is cancer free and we are all sooo happy. She has 3 boys under 4 years of age, so this has been such a difficult time for her. I mention this as the odds we definately stacked against my friend and she has come through it all, as I am sure your sister will too.
All the best
