My father in law

My father in law had a stroke, yesterday... well we can only imagine it was a stroke because he is being stubborn and is refusing to go to the hospital. He is sluring his words and has lost some control of the left side of his face... He also is not walking well and feels horriable.
We have tried everything to get him to go and he will not. An ambulance will not take him if he refuses treatment, so really there is nothing else we can do but pray that he can recover somewhat on his own.

Praying. Grrr, men can be so stubborn about going to doctors or hospitals. My Father was the same way.

Sounds like the same thing that happened to my dad. He felt funny for several days before my brother finally told him to get in the car, that he was taking him to the hospital. They confirmed a stroke and my dad was diagnosed with high blood pressure. He has some very minor memory issues as a result but is otherwise doing great.

Prayers that your FIL listens to reason and makes a trip to the hospital.

update on my father in law... he went to the er friday after feeling worse. THANK GOD he went. they admitted him. Saturday while at the hospital he had another "episode"
his speach got even worse, didnt think that was possible, and he started seeing double out of his left eye... yesterday we were told that he will have therapy and possibly need to be at a nursing home shortly to receive that therapy.
today.. they told us that it was worse than they thought...... the nurologist informed us that he will need alot of prayers because he will more than likely never have the use of the left side of his body ever again.... and that his therapy will be more intense than they thought and possibly staying at a home for more like weeks.
we are not looking for a different home for them as their home now will not be able to accomodate him.
this has hit mikey VERY hard, his dad is only in his 50's how??
many prayers are needed and appreciated.
