McKenna a mom her on Downsyn, (Dara, Conner and Reese's mom) just posted on face book that she began Chemo this week for Leukemia. Please keep her in your prayers.

I can't believe this! She posted a few weeks ago asking how things were with you and Austin.
I asked how her and the family were doing....been a long while since I saw her posting here.
I will pray for her! Wish I was closer to do more than pray!

I wish I had more time to get on Downsyn! Thank you to everyone praying for McK! She is coping ... having a lot of ups and downs right now, understandably. I know she appreciates everyone's support sooo much and that is what has gotten her through this tough time.

The good news is that the prognosis for CML is very good! Specific prayer could include praying that McKenna's body accepts Gleevec and that this medication (i.e. the miracle drug) works for her. If not, she may end up in transplant, which we obviously do not want!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!! I am doing well, 3 1/2 weeks into this. I am on my second type of chemo drug right now and will switch to a third chemo drug in a couple of weeks. Besides fatigue and worsened memory and a little bit of brain fog, I am doing very well physically. Emotionally, I have more good moments than bad. I am very optimistic about the road ahead and have been given a very good prognosis. Amy, thank you for letting my Downsyn family know...and everyone, I appreciate your prayers for the road ahead!! PS: The kids are all doing well and I think this coming week will bring a little bit of normalcy for the first time in a long time.
