Here is our option for dinner close to the restaurant...

There's a restaurant called McCormick and Schmicks which is in walking distance from the hotel. We'll have our own banquet room so if the kids want to run around, they can! We'll get the room as long as we want so we can chat the night away! (And take lots of pics LOL)

Here's the catch, it's going to be $35 for each adult. NOW for this price you get a huge meal!

Drink- including cofee, tea or soft drink(alcohol seperate)
Caesar salad with parmesan cheese and garlic croutons
Main Course choices are one of the following three:
USDA Prime Top Sirloin steak with Sauteed mushrooms
or
Herb Marinated Chicken Breast with garlic and Herb butter
or
Paremesan Crusted flounder with Lemon and Capers
Then Desert would be Upside down Apple Pie with cinnamon Ice Cream

The kids' meals would be $4.95 and they have a choice of Grilled Cheese, Hamburger, or popcorn chicken and come with a soft drink french fries an scoop of ice cream.

There is no other place close to the hotel where we can all sit together, so if we don't want to drive a ways, this is it! Let us know what you think.

I think it is a FABULOUS Idea!(HEHEHEHE)-Courtney

The other thing I wanted to add, is that out of all the restaurants I called for this, this Banquet manager was the MOST willing to help and said she couldnt' WAIT to meet our kids. Which is always an ADDED plus! But whatever ya'll want is FINE with me!!!!!

I know the last thing y'all need is to have more options. Your deal with McCormick & Schmitt's is GREAT for a downtown venue.

But should you for any reason need an alternative I am the Catering Director of a business club, think country club without the golf course, (www.the1818club.org)in the suburbs and by suburbs I mean 30 minutes minimum drive from downtown. We are located conveniently off I-85 and would be easy to get to (straight shot from downtown).

I could set you guys up with a buffet for the adults and the kids and there would be room for up to 60 people in one room.

Goodness knows I would just LOVE having all your kids running around making my night!

I think it sounds good! Esp. if we have our own room-the couple of times we have had "meets" it is so hard to talk to each other in a restaurant when there are other tables around, unless you are sitting right across or next to the person-so I think a banquet room would be the terrific!

I will be at the conference. I'm being sent by our local Down syndrome association for my volunteer hours (woo hoo for me), so I'm not sure what the other 3 moms and my schedule will be...BUT, I really want to meet you all for dinner. What is the final decision??? When? Where? $$$??
