I am currently taking an online class to renew my certification in VA. The prof brought up the new sped bill that's currently in the senate. There are some scary things in there. One of them is the IEP will last 3 years. Right now it seems most of us have little ones but they tend to grow up on you. An IEP written in first grade would last until fourth grade. I am a special ed teacher and there is no way I could ever come up with goals for 3 years for any of my LD/ED students. The kids change so much. All kids do. The website the prof mentioned was http://www.wrightslaw.com & http://www.cec.sped.org. Anyway this is a hot topic on the online class.
