Does anyone know if there is a website (just like this one) for support with Autism Spectrum??

With Timothy's new label of PDD-NOS I have so many questions and am not sure where to look for help. This Down Syndrome site has been a God-send for me with Caleb. I have found so many answers to my questions here. It's also comforting just to log on and see so many other people with the same questions or problems that I have. I was hoping to find that same comfort with the Autism Spectrum label.

Any advice would be much appreciated!!!!

You need something JUST for the Austism Spectrum or the dual DX? Here is one for if your child has the dual DX....

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ds-autism/

I am a member here but don't post. When Russell got his DX at 4 I started at this site... but at the time it was very overwhelming and depressing for me personally... so I left Wink Then this past year I joined again because I was in a different frame of mind. I enjoy the info I get there but for me it's not as "cozy" so I don't post much unless I am needing some good ole dual DX help.

It's started by the same lady, Joan Medlum (sp?) that does that Disability Solutions stuff in that link given to you. She is a WONDERFUL lady!

Good luck!

***edited to add.. I just read your byline under your siggy pic and just realised you are talking about another child of yours... sorry!!! Let me see what I can find out there!***

Here is Yahoo's Groups homepage.. you can search for whatever you want here.....

http://groups.yahoo.com/

Some Autism sites are VERY specific... a group about Autism and a certain diet, kinda thing... but there are pages of them. Some are state specific so maybe you will stumble across one for your state even and find even local support!

Try doing a search on the AOL message board... they don't have one specifically for PDD but they have them for Autism and Aspergers etc...
If you ever need to talk, let me know, I'll PM you my number... I've been there!
