We go through our private insurance because Far Northern doesn't think Avery is delayed "enough" to receive services. So about 9 mos ago I found our PT. She is the only one in Chico qualified to work with infants and toddlers and she happens to be a mom at Mackenzie's school too! We have been working on many things, jumping being one of them. She has been getting Avery on the trampoline the last several weeks and she will bounce a bit while bending her knees. Yesterday she caught the smallest bit of air! She jumped, tiny, but a jump! Ree (the Pt) actually cried she was so excited! I just love that she is so invested in Avery's development! A few other cool milestones recently: Avery's OT set a goal of stacking five items. Well Avery showed her and stacked NINE! Guess she better set her goals higher next time! For speech Avery has been putting two words together. She said "Hi Dada" and she signed "dog eating" and "bug on flower". I just can't believe how well she is doing!

What wonderful news!
There's those good ol' California services for you! j/k...it's like that here too in some ways. My friend had to fight for services for her daughter because of her scores not being low enough. Yeah, let's let her skills decrease in order to get therapy! Makes a whole lotta sense to me! We can't have our children be above average or anything- at least that's what the state would like for us to believe. Frustrating...
But, again- great job Avery!

WoW, she's doing fantastic. All the hard work is certainly paying off for you. JUMP JUMP JUMP Avery. And you certainly have been blessed with a PT that really cares.

YAY Avery!! That's so exciting! Darah will stack very high as long as you guard the tower she's building. She wants to topple it over after every single block!!
How awesome to have such a great physical therapist!!!

What a blessing to have a great PT. Way to go Avery! I can't wait until Talitha can jump on the trampoline. She watches my other kids all the time.

That is wonderful! I am glad Avery is doing so great, JUMP JUMP!!!!
I can't get Daniel to really stack anything, all he wants to do is knock over the blocks as soon as I stack anything, he runs over and knocks them down.
