To everyone...I've been feeling horrible lately. I know that some comments were made that may have hurt feelings (like mine) but it's all over and done with. I've went to the dr. and he gave me some new meds since the Lexapro wasn't obviously working. He put me on Cymbalta...any experience anyone? He also put me on a mood enhancer...Guoron? Maybe? I can't think of the name right off...but anyways, I'm feeling better. Anyone that was insulted or hurt, I apologize.

I haven't seen any comments that would hurt feelings but I have certainly missed you! Hope the new meds work well and you are feeling better. Hope that handsome, wonderful little man of yours is doing well. Very Happy

I'm sorry I didn't know about this forum and have not known all that you were going through until last night. I'm so so sorry that you haven't felt as supported as you should have. I am really proud of you. I've always thought you were so brave to stand up to people during your pregnancy and such and really take on the challenges that you've had. I hope you are feeling better and have missed you loads as well! Elijah is such a cutey and I hope he is doing well as well. I sent you an email last night. BIG HUGS to you and Elijah and Jon.

Hi there-
I don't post on here often anymore, but I usually read your threads. I like to check up on you and the babe...
I don't know if or who you offended, but I have done the same thing.
I could go into a huge "The Internet is an escape and makes us do this"spiel (sp?) but you've attended the school of hard knox- You know how it can be.Wink
A word on meds.
I was dead against them. The past 19m I have been running around like a madperson, and if you knew just how loopy I truly am, you would recommend a forum for nutties...
HOWEVER... I finally listened to everyone telling me to get on something.
Aint no shame in that game.

Cymbalta didn't work for me. I didn't notice any difference and I tried it for three months...
Cymbalta is also used as a Pain blocker (although not near as good as happy pills that make you itch and say duuuhhhhh all day"
It's widely used for people with chronic pain, such as Fibromyalgia- which I've suffered with FOR YEARS! And good grief, Have you seen the commercial for it? LMAO- It's so depressing itself! It says.... "Because Depression Hurts" and it has this closeup of a woman laying on a couch as her poor dog looks on. LOL teehee
I do hope it works for you. Meds scare me... Probably because I'm more of a Naturalist...I asked my dr to put me on something old and proven... I ended up on Paxil... I hated it for a month, and now... I'm feeling better everyday.
Good luck to ya' girlie.

I've been SOOOO busy I haven't really checked in the last 2 weeks, and it ain't going to get any easier, any time soon! As far as offending people, I think everyone offends someone at least once! I know I have. It's not hard to lose all sense of emotions, especially for us whom have children with special needs, and there's this whole world of adjustment that takes a LONG time to go through. Don't worry, I'm sure no one else is.

I've been on cymbalta for about 2 months. I got side effects in the beginning - dry mouth, constipation, fatigue, etc. but it eased off after the first 3 weeks. It has helped me, but I don't think the dose is quite right yet and will probably get it increased this week.

As you doing any kind of talk therapy? I've found that the combination of seeing a therapist once or twice a week plus the meds is making a difference. I don't think the meds, without the therapy would work as well.

Ley me know how it goes Smile

Hi, I just wanted to say that one of my sisters and one of brothers are both on Cymbalta and they swear by them. I have noticed a HUGE difference in both of them. Oh yeah my mom just had a stroke and they related it to stress so she too was put on Cymbalta. She's doing great with them. I just wish it would give her more patience with her poor dh.

Hopefully it will work on you as it has on them. Keep us updated and take care!
