lately i've been worry alot of Elias.
Living in Mexico, i dont know if we are missing much. i see you go to a developmental ped, and i dont even know where to get one like this here, lol.
ok Elias goes to a Special Ed school, where they receive babies since 45 days old (Elias begin at 40 days) until 16 years old (in case they cant keep the track at a regular school)
We go from monday-to-friday 2-5pm, i like it there because its cheap, good, and they have all the therapies include. i know they keep a file update of what elias do and what not, and they give me every 6 months a review of what are his new skills and what he needs to work, but i dont know how delay he is, i mean, i dont know what are his motor skills dev age , etc.
we see a regular ped, we used to go every month but we stoped since june i think, elias is very healthy, and if he gets sick we always have the school doctor.
i know elias has good ears and sight, but still, do u think i should search for a specialist just to be sure?
i always wonder, what if we move to USA, will be better? we have think a lot on this
and next year elias is changing of class , to go to the transitional year to see if he can go to a regular kinder, so this is making me nervious, just bc, i dont know if its very different here from there.
sorry this was so long,

Ya know..I don't know that Elias is missing out on anything. It's hard to compare services and treatments in different countries. Maybe you should see a Developmental Pediatrician in the USA to do a evaluation of the services and treatments Elias is receiving...
I think you'll find that you aren't missing out on anything at all. You live ina big city that seems progressive... Aren't you in Mexico City?
But if you just want to reassure yourself, it couldn't hurt. You might want to talk to one of the gals in Texas or FL where they could help you find a specialist that is fluent in English and Spanish THat way, you could bring Elias medical records and school/therapy records with you for them to look over. Its a thought.
