My daughter Libby (non DS) is a freshman in high school. She has been a competitive swimmer since the age of 6, but it's a tall person's sport, and she is a whopping 4'10" (on a tall day) with no signs of growing. She is gradually switching over to running, and today was the varsity team's league championships. Libby has been undefeated in the dual meets all season and today came in first in the championships, with her teammate and friend taking second place. To see a picture, go to www.pleasantvillerunning.com . I am so proud of her because she works so hard to be the best that she can.
Edited to add that she is the little brown girl in the pictures.

That is an awesome thing to be able to say. You can't get better than that. WTG!

My niece is adopted from Guatemala, every time you talk about your beautiful children, it make me think of her. Then seeing this photo, made me think into the future for her!! Oh my goodness, it is almost too much to think about. You must be so proud. She is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing. How wonderful.
PS My son is doing Guatemala for his Spanish class, any thing you would like to share about there? He had to, in honor of his adorable cousin.

Way to go, Libby! Sounds like you have had a great season. Congratulations! (And Congratulations to the Proud Mom, too!!)
How many rainy and/or cold meets did you cheer through, Mary??
(I am, or should rather say, "WAS" more of an "indoor sports" athlete....keep me OUT of the elements!!) LOL
