This sounds so small - but really it's huge.

Today, I put my cell phone down on the table. I was speaking to someone on the home phone. And Matt just picked up my cell phone, looked right at me, and gave it to me.

I've no idea why. Matt never does anything unless it will get him something that he wants. But this time, it just seemed like he gave it to me because it was mine, and he wanted me to have it.

OK, maybe I'm reading too much into it. But he gave me something for no reason apart from that he wanted to.

So happy.

Cool! It's still Matt but that autism just makes it so hard for him to be Matt.

I think it's huge. He made a connection between you and the phone. He was thinking outside of himself. It's wonderful. May you see more of Matt coming out!

Hi. How are you guys? We miss you!

I think it's a big deal! Clearly, he knows it's your phone, and he was making the connection with you personally. Every little thing that our kids do is really very BIG! So, why not BRAG?!

Hugs to all of you.

P.S. We are home tomorrow on holiday. We should find a time when Rachel and Stephen can chat!
