Hi everyone - just had to brag on Brock today. Brock is being a great big brother to his new sister Quinn - she is now 7 weeks old. Brock has been in daycare since he was 12 weeks part time - so he is use to other kids, but I still wasn't sure how he would feel about sharing his territory. Well he is doing great - he has even learned how to say sissy - a new favorite phrase is "hi sissy". He also likes to bring us toys and blankets when Quinn cries. His teacher has told me that Brock is always the first to comfort other kids when they get upset, going to them and patting them on the back.

A week ago Brock moved up to the 2 year old room at daycare and the transition has gone really well! Brock is now using a spoon to feed himself; is working on saying phrases as he has about 30 words (of course some are only ones that mommy and daddy understand); and he's also working on jumping.

Brock loves to dance, and has become quite the dare devil, climbing on and over anything he can (which has led to a few time outs). I have to admit the fact that Brock now needs time outs actually feels like a milestone in some weird way - it makes me again realize how "typical" he is.

Brock is taking a music class with our local Ds group - LaurieAnnie's son Reuben is in the class - and it is just great getting together and seeing our kids play.

I had to look at his birth date when you mentioned that he went into the 2 year-old class - boy! I would have guessed him to be pushing near three! Sorry, Jen, don't mean to rush time, but he seems to have been around here longer than that! Wink

I totally understand about the time out... I have to hid my smiles when Austin is sportin' a tude. I'm glad to see the spunk but I KNOW it has to be 'handled.' lol I love the picture of brother and sissy together.
