Do you think that Christopher's mom can do a better job this time around? What do you think has changed to make things different?

Christopher's mom has tried life on the other side of the fence, and it didn't work either. She has realized there is no utopia, no perfect life, that she just needs to work with the life she has.

I certainly hope she does a better job. She really has no choice, you just can't run away from your child, particularly since Christopher won't go back to his father.

I hope she does; I believe the book supports this hope. I agree that she's seen the other side of life, and hopefully she's learned from her past and has grown and changed.

I hope she can and does succeed, for Christopher's sake.
