bri fell from some bleachers on saturday night. she broke her arm and got banged up pretty good. the hospital tried to pop her bone back into place, but when we went to the ortho yesterday the bone was right back where it started. so she goes into surgery today to put a pin in. if he can't get it in, he has to do plates and screws. please pray for her. she's never had a surgery and i really don't want them to have to get more invasive with the plates and screws.....

Ouch, praying for her. When my niece was about 5 she fell when climbing a fench and broke her arm, the doc's said it was a rare break because her elbow was a few inches up the wrong way, they wanted photo's of it, well anyway she had to get pins in too but no plate so hopefully Brianna wont need one either.

Oh no! I am late in seeing this! I'm so sorry for Bri. Please give her hugs from Angela and I, and let her know we're praying for her! I have the plate and screws in my wrist from my little ice/robe incident last year. Good as new now!!!

Thank you guys!!! It's been sooo crazy at my house.
She did have the surgery-he was able to just use a pin through the bone, BUT he had to give her an insicion in the middle of her arm to line the bones up. He was hoping not to have to do that, but it couldn't be helped. It took MUCH longer than expected, and he apologized for scaring me--said sometimes he works too hard at getting things perfect. From the looks of the pictures he showed us it is practically perfect! She goes to get all the stitches out and a new--hopefully shorter cast--on the 28th, so we'll see how she's healing.....Yesterday was the first day she didn't need any pain meds, so I take that as a sign. She is in a 90 degree full arm cast--what a way to start her freshman year
The Saturday after the surgery we went to the Body Exhibit, and they make a hologram picture with a skeleton overlay---they put a break in her arm...it was great! (had Hunter sucking his thumb too) That's a memory keeper for her....
