At 2 pm he was fine and sleeping I went to get him at 4:15 to change him he would not stand or look at me..... I took his temperature103.9 under arm

I cheched pulse ox 83 to 88 range and pulse 155 to 175.....to high for me to give him albuterol.

Nurse said call911.

The nice ambulance guys thought the should take me too!!!! And of course sick mom is home with seven and dad is at the hospital knowing no information about his medical history

they are hoping it is just pnuemonia!!!! Since he is the only one who had his h1n1 shot but he did not get the full two weeks to build up immunity before his exposure to Adrian last week

Oh Jane! Poor Devon! I hate sending my husband off with one of the kids. I guess you just sit by the phone and wait for the calls. I'll be thinking about Devon and Eric, and you trying to survive at home with the rest of the kids. Ugh!

Eric just called he is now a little more freaked...... Devon is white/ grey..... He said mj end of life color not his usual dark color!!!!9

and he is still running in the high. 150 to170's the oxygen is helping wake him up

Officially Devon just tested positive for type a (which is likely h1n1)..... Course I was really hoping for pnumonia

I am sort of grumpy because I asked specifically Saturday for him to get tamaflu like the rest and they kept assuring me it was not necessary and over kill.

Though to the on call docs defense even the docs at cardinal glennon were surprised! Eric thinks they are goin to keep him...... At least till they are sure he is going th keep his o2 sats up

They admitted him.

As his fever returned (2+hours before more meds could be given) the heart rate soared and the pulse ox drops.

Eric is finally starting to think this could be bad after what the attending told him. I wish I could have been a fly on that wall...... He told me I was over reacting when I told him to call 911...... There were a few tense moments while waiting for the ambulance!!!!

But he is breathing on his own and hopefully he just needs a few days of tlc and I will be able to visit him soon

Never in my life think I would be so happy to hear Devon screaming over the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is awake and wailing "eat......eat......eat" and ripped out the oxygen and iv.......eric had me singing to him over the phone till he got his yogurt!

He is going to get released as soon as the IV and tamaflu runs through. At least he is doing awesome!

Mira da is on her way to see the dr now though. Her fever just started and she also has been hard to wake up..... So doctor said bring her in now ! My wonderful mother in law is taking her cause I am not sure I can drive the van yet.....

oK CDC forgot to mention the following..... After effect of swine flu or Any flu is a horrible ear infection or another type of Secondary infection.

So Miranda, Jordan, emerson and Colin have them and melea is pulling at her one ear....... Which is a pain in the butt! The good news is it means the tamaflu did the work and the ones with the ear infections are finished or mostly finished with the flu!!!!

And the ear is a much better place than the lungs so I will just smile and try to get better and laugh at the 17 open bottles of tamaflu & antibiotics in my frigerator!!!!

Just got to make sure Eliza is ok yet.......
