No, I'm not running for president. (aren't you lucky!) No, even better than that! Dean entered me in a "Worst Cooks" contest. And, seriously, I am really bad! I even messed up "Let's Dish!"

Anyway, the picture of my orange rolls doesn't look that bad. Aaaahhhh but looks can be deceiving! When you get to the link, at the bottom of the entry click on "info/recipe" button, which will tell you WHY they were so horrible!

Then, if you would please post the link on your blogs or wherever, and ask your friends to vote, Dean would REALLLY appreciate it. The winner gets cooking lessons, and he really wants me to cook! LOL

................................

1/28/10.....I'm currently down by 10! It was discovered there was a glitch in their voting software (guess who discovered it???????) No, each person can only vote ONCE! That means I don't have to keep bugging everyone to vote every day! YAY!

But, it also means I need your help! Please ask everyone you know to vote! Pretty please? Tell them I'm a hopeless cook and I REALLY need to learn how to cook...at 42 years old!

Its super easy to vote! Just go to the link, in the black box you'll see the picture of my rolls. Now, they don't LOOK that bad, but if you click on the button that says, "info/recipe", it will tell you why they were submitted. (People, this is the story of my life! Everything I make turns out like that! UGH!) Anyway, there is also a button inside the black box that says "vote". Make sure ALL FIVE dots are lit up, ok?

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

..........................................

1/29/10 For those who haven't been following this saga (ok, really my whining posts begging for votes.) I was on a local morning radio show today. Here's a link to the show. When you get there, click on "Hour four" of the Ian and Margery show. I'm right at the beginning of the hour. And, if you listen a couple minutes after I hang up, they bring up the subject again. And...OMG...I do NOT have a radio voice! LOL I suppose it doesn't help that I have an inflamed uvula right now. HA!

Thanks everyone!!! I finished out the first day tied for 1st place with 45 votes. So, today I'm shooting for another 80 votes! I begging you to ask your friends to vote! LOL

A lot of people seem really confused when they get there. (Ok, my brother in law and a couple others.) So, when you get there, there's a big black box with a picture of my rolls. If you click the orange "info/recipe" button, it will tell you WHY they were submitted.

To Vote, in the upper left corner of the black box, click on the dots where it says "vote here". (It will make you sign into facebook to vote.) It's a DAILY vote.

What does the winner get? Cooking lessons! So, you know, at 42 years old I can learn the basics of cooking because my family is really tired of faking it when I ask, "How is it?"

THANKS EVERYONE!

I voted!!
I need a lot of help in the kitchen too!! It's not so much that I am a bad cook(okay, yes it is) but I am horrible at timing everything to be done at the same time. Okay, timing might be the wrong word...remembering is more accurate. Like, the meat will be done, then I'll remember to start the veggie. Then right when the veggies are finished, I'll remember that I forgot to put the bread in. I'm horrible. My husband just laughs at me now. Hey, at least the bread is served hot!!!

Oh Keely! That is SO ME!!!! Except that the food that does get serves tastes horrid too. LOL You should see the Cheesey scalloped potatoes I served for Easter last year. OMG....

I think that's why I avoid entertaining at all costs. And, when we do, Dean does all the cooking. I am more than happy to clean the house as long as I don't have to step foot in the kitchen.

My mom says, "If you cook more, you'll get better!" Yeah, but why would I want to do something I hate? But, do I hate it because I suck at it? Or do I suck at it because I hate it? I think it's a very vicious circle! LOL

I'm off to vote now! At least you try! My hubbie wouldn't know if he was bad or not! He never does it!

Hannah and myself found a link on his computer recently to 'how to boil an egg'!
Hannah and I rolled around laughing at that one! We let him know how funny that was!

Bumping!

HELP! With 3 days left to vote (won't you all be glad when I stop bugging you?) I am currently behind by one vote. I think if I can get 100 people to vote in the next few hours, I'll have it in the bag (it is VERY HARD to get people to vote!!!)

So here I am, begging again! If I can get 10 people from Downsyn to vote tonight, and you each ask a couple people, I would SO appreciate it! (they do have to have a facebook or myspace account to vote)

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!!!!

Leah, I voted after you asked the first time. Tried again thoday, but maybe because I already voted before, I couldn't. It didn't give me a option to vote. Is it because I already voted, or is where do you go to vote? Want to make it easy if I ask friends to vote for you.

Am I too late? I just read this post and would definitely vote for you!

But I have to say, you have so much to offer in other areas, so many talents and skills, tell Dean that if you could cook you would be the perfect woman. You need to have one weakness to keep you grounded!

Awwwww That's sweet of you Anara! I have a lot of...ummm....I guess I'd call them "scattered skills". Or splinter skills. In other words, I have a lot that doesn't add up to anything. LOL

For those who are wondering, I won the vote! I had 204, and my closest competitor had 177! There is one more step in the process, but thankfully does not involve harassing all my friends for votes!

Thank you everyone!!!!!
