Yup...I moved! The city I moved too will get him into preschool for the fall, and even the same preschool my daughter attends! They just told me today he's approved for funding...I'm SO excited.

Liamsmom I just moved from Surrey to Delta. Each city has a certain amount of funding for supported child development. In surrey he would have waited until he's 4 and even then probably shared his worker with other children. (which I'm sure you all know as well as I do Noah needs one to one support) It's not Surrey's fault, it's our premier's fault, since his government is in charge of the funding. Delta is a richer community though, more homeowners, less problems, which means that Noah was approved for funding for HIS OWN worker right away woot!

He will be going twice a week for 2 1/4 hours a day. The daycare cost itself is being paid for by child care subsidy, and if you don't qualify for subsidy there is a disability supplement that helps parents who pay out of pocket.

He will actually be in my daughters class, which is really cool, although I doubt they will interact much since he will have a worker and isn't really capable of following instruction. Picture a 3 year old baby, in size 18mth clothing...who doesn't walk, or talk...throw in a few odd repetitive behaviours and that is Noah. I'm really hoping this one on one time away from home will help him.
