We are very pleased to have found this useful site! Thank you to Tigger for passing it on to me.
My name is Melanie, I live in NSW Australia with my partner Troy. I am a very proud mother of 2 - Jakson (03/12/02) and Ruby (06/11/05).
I guess you could say the past 6 months has been a rollercoaster ride... Ruby has certainly been a surprise package! We were shocked and saddened to learn Ruby had DS at birth and even more shocked to learn she had a heart defect. But 6 months on we can only say we count our blessings everyday and look forward to tomorrow with our little gem.
We look forward to sharing our wonderful gift with you all.

Little Ruby is a cutie, our wee Abbey also gave us a rollercoaster ride in the beginning, but now that she is 2 its like living with a little comedian, she is soo much fun and a real joy, her brother and sister adore her... We are from Perth W.A...

Love the pic and so glad to see you here. How is Ruby going? Talitha has been so much better since the surgery, more active, better colour, lots of smiles. It was such a horrendous time at the Sydney children's but so worth it to see them healthier.

Some time us Aussies are all going to have to get together. If you see Donna remind her about this place too.

I know what you mean about the heart defect, I remember my husband saying that to him the heart defect was more serious than the DS

thankfully Hannah had sucessful surgery and she is a little star now
